25% MORE RESISTANT TO FREEZE/THAW We test the effects of routine freeze thaw cycles. Indiana can have many freeze/thaw cycles over the course of the spring/fall/winter seasons. Roger Group rock is 25% more resistant to Freeze/Thaw than crushed aggregate from other local quarries.
65% less absorbEnt
65% LESS ABSORBENT. High absorption means water is able to be stored in the aggregate and this affects the ability to remain in tact during freezing and thawing cycles. Rogers rocks significantly (65%) less absorbent making is much more resistant to fluctuating freeze/thaw cycles.
